The term ‘Digital Marketing’ is too broad to define in this article, but I would like to take you through some of the basic types of Digital Marketing that exist today.

Traditional digital marketing includes email marketing, search engine optimization (SEO), website design, pay-per-click (PPC) advertising, social media marketing, etc. Newer forms of digital marketing include mobile application development, web push notifications, video streaming, etc.

Email marketing is one of the most effective parts to gain marketing your business. With the right strategy, you can send out emails to your customers and clients to advertise your company’s products and services. You may even want to consider using autoresponders to make sure that you don’t miss any messages from your customers.

Search Engine Optimization (SEO): SEO is the process of improving the visibility of a website or a webpage in a Search Engine’s unpaid results – often referred to as “natural”, “organic”, or “earned” results. A site receives more visitors from search engine users if it appears earlier, and more frequently in the search results list (or higher on the page). The links received by a site can then be converted into leads and sales. SEO may target different kinds of searches including image searches, videos searches, news searches, and industry-specific searches.

Online Advertising – Placing ads on websites, blogs, social media platforms, etc.

Mobile Advertising – Displaying ads on apps, games, and other mobile applications.

The digital marketing industry has been around for decades now, but only recently have we seen its true potential to transform businesses and how they function. Digital marketing encompasses many different channels that can be used to reach your target audience and build brand awareness. These include social media, search engine optimization (SEO), email marketing, mobile advertising, display ads, video marketing, influencer marketing, content marketing, etc.
